Another Quebec player has been added to the list of players from the province who have already reached an agreement with an American university or college for the 2021-2022 season.

Tyler Favretto, a catcher and infielder, will join the ranks of the Crowder College Roughriders in Neosho, Mo.

Favretto, 19, played for the LaSalle Cardinals of the Quebec Elite Junior Baseball League, after having worn the colours of the Académie Baseball Canada (ABC).

“Tyler is a leader and a hard worker, who will be a big addition to this college which is still among the best in the United States,” said an ABC spokesperson.

Crowder, which plays in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I, has three Quebecers in its ranks for the 2021 winter season: Victor Plaz, Adamo Stornello and Nicolas Tremblay.

Even though they will be in their second season in the NJCAA this winter, due to the COVID-19 pandemic that prematurely ended their 2020 season, these three players may be back for the 2021-2022 season and be Favretto’s teammates with the Crowder troop.
